Warner Brothers Studio Tour: The Making of Harry Potter

On Sunday 2nd June I visited the Harry Potter Studio tour for only the second time, I haven't been for about 4 years. So I've never seen the Forbidden Forest nor the recently opened Gringotts Bank which I was really excited to see. There have been so many changes since I was last there, including a different place to get the bus, the ticket collection outside and the new inside foyer bit where you go into the tour and the shop, with the addition of the Chocolate Frog cafe which has a much better seating area than it used to. Our tour wasn't until 2pm so we went and go some food from the cafe, I had the tuna and cucumber bloomer with a Diet Coke and it was a nice sandwich I was impressed. I really liked the clock in the queue at the cafe, it reminds me of the Weasley clock, also on the back of the chocolate frog cafe were mirrors shaped like witches and wizards cards. Once we'd eaten we had a mooch around the shop to see if there was anything we fancied buying. I lov...

Ultimate Live Action Aladdin Shop Guide

We are ONE day away from the cinematic release of Disney's Live Action Aladdin in the UK and it's no secret that I am beyond excited for this film. So I thought I'd put together a shopping guide of my favourite pieces of merchandise from a wide variety of shops. Shop Disney Shop Disney have such a wide selection of Aladdin merchandise for both the Live Action and cartoon versions. I have picked out a few of my favourites but you have everything from dressing up costumes for children, stationary, jewellery, accessories, toys and clothing for adults as well. Pic Credit: Shop Disney From the Live Action collection I really like the Ladies Pyjamas, they look really light and thin to wear which is perfect for the summer and also the design isn't too much either with a green top with "A Whole New World" printed in gold and peacock feather printed bottoms. They look really pretty. I love stationary and I really like the pack of 6 pencils that are purple and ...

Full Aladdin Trailer Reaction

With 2 and a half months left until release we finally have the final full Live Action Aladdin trailer. Aladdin is my favourite animated Disney film, I am so excited to have another version to enjoy now.  We have Aladdin escaping the guards with his tricks and stunts to get away, we have a proper look at Abu who is so cute and still reminds me of Jack from Pirates of the Caribbean. Agrabah looks amazing as a little market town in the desert, it looks so pretty. Then we have Aladdin and Jasmine seeing each other for the first time which is such a sweet moment even in the animation and musical. We then properly meet Jafar who is explaining to Aladdin about retrieving the lamp from the Cave of Wonders and how he can make him rich enough to impress a princess. The Cave of Wonders look incredible it has this eery feel to it because it’s very dark but then colourful with the hints of gold. Obviously Aladdin grabs the lamp and we then get Genie, who it seems like is going to bring a ...

Live Action Aladdin Trailer Reaction

Disney being Disney dropped a new peek at Live Action Aladdin during the Grammys. Aladdin is my favourite Disney film and I was really apprehensive about the whole idea but the more I see the more excited I get about it. I quite like Disney Live Action films they give another dimension to the stories that we already love, Live Action Cinderella is my all time favourite. Also, I love having actual people as the characters it makes it so much easier when thinking about it and watching.  So the trailer itself is longer than the teaser we got a couple of months ago but still quite short in retrospect. Once again we start with Iago and the desert but this time at nightime to the Cave of Wonders which looks incredible. Whilst all this is going on we have the enchanting music of Arabian Nights which is amazing. We finally get a look at Jafar who has convinced Aladdin to retrieve the lamp from the Cave where we also get the full look at Aladdin and Abu who reminds me of Jack the monke...

Live Action Aladdin reaction

So Disney have decided to make another live action remake of a 90s classic, this time in the form of Aladdin. I love Aladdin it’s my favourite Disney film so for it to be made into live action it’s an exciting prospect, however when they announced Guy Ritchie as director that was questionable as yes he is an amazing director, he’s never directed a film in the same ilk as Aladdin. Next announcement we got was Will Smith as Genie, which is a very daunting prospect but fair play to him taking on this role, I’m intrigued to see how this plays out. For a while this was all the information we knew. Now we have a whole cast announced who are relatively unknown which I think is a good thing because it means they can make the characters their own and use this amazing opportunity as a good thing. We have Mena Massoud playing Aladdin and Naomi Scott playing Princess Jasmine, I cannot wait to see what twist they bring to the characters. In October we had a teaser trailer drop out of nowhere...

Black Panther Thoughts

Last week, finally Black Panther was released into the world and I couldn't have been more excited which says a lot because I am not the biggest Marvel fan. However, as soon as I saw the trailer for this I was instantly like I have to see this which I finally did on Saturday. So here are some non-spoiler thoughts I has during the film. Wakanda- This place looks beautiful from the moment we see it, I was completely in awe of it. It's literally a different world, the imagery of it is incredible, I want to visit if it was possible. Rituals- The rituals in this film are fascinating and well executed by the cast. The thought that was put into it and the traditions that are held up from generation to generation is amazing. I couldn't do them that's for sure. Tribe- The tribes in this film are one of my favourite things in this film. There's a part at the beginning which really highlights the tribe element and it is just incredible to see all these people liv...

The Greatest Showman

Taken from The Greatest Showman Facebook As you can tell by the title I am going to talk about The Greatest Showman because I have seen it twice and adored it and need to talk about it so thought I would put it all in a blog post. I know this film has taken the world by storm and I am glad because it is stunning. I loved all the messages in this film and how many walls it broke down and how relevant they still are to this current time over 200 years later. The overall message being embrace all over yourself scars and all and that this is ok and that you should ignore the haters and just be you because majority of people will accept you and love you. Other little messages that the people you can meet can be the best friendships you’ll ever make and that friendship and family are so important never forget that they are there. Also, those are the people who will help you when things get difficult. One line from this film that sticks with me is when Charity tells Barnum that he...
