Aladdin Soundtrack Reaction

It's out it's finally here, Live Action Aladdin is finally in cinemas after a wait that seems to be have been forever. Alongside the cinematic release we have also been graced with the release of the soundtrack, now I was worried about the music but it's a lot better than I anticipated. So I thought I'd share my reaction to the songs with you, note that this is just through listening to the music not watching it in context with the film. I have seen the film and loved it but that's a separate post.   Arabian Nights- Will Smith Pic Credit: Spotify This was a pleasant surprise, I loved the stripped back beginning that intensifies throughout the song. Also, there's a little instrumental near the middle that's taken from the original Arabian Nights which I loved and nearly cried as well. There's some little lyric changes which work perfectly fine. I also like the added bit from the Cave of Wonders it adds an intensity to the song. Will Smith's sin...

Ultimate Live Action Aladdin Shop Guide

We are ONE day away from the cinematic release of Disney's Live Action Aladdin in the UK and it's no secret that I am beyond excited for this film. So I thought I'd put together a shopping guide of my favourite pieces of merchandise from a wide variety of shops. Shop Disney Shop Disney have such a wide selection of Aladdin merchandise for both the Live Action and cartoon versions. I have picked out a few of my favourites but you have everything from dressing up costumes for children, stationary, jewellery, accessories, toys and clothing for adults as well. Pic Credit: Shop Disney From the Live Action collection I really like the Ladies Pyjamas, they look really light and thin to wear which is perfect for the summer and also the design isn't too much either with a green top with "A Whole New World" printed in gold and peacock feather printed bottoms. They look really pretty. I love stationary and I really like the pack of 6 pencils that are purple and ...

West End Does: Magic of Animation 2

On Sunday 5th May the lovely Rob Houchen's West End Does company celebrated their one year anniversary by hosting West End Does: Magic of Animation 2 at Cadogen Hall nearly a year to the day after they opened with West End Does: Magic of Animation at the same venue last year. I loved last year's concert so I was in no doubt as soon as this was announced that they were going to do another version this year I just had to go. This year's line up included some old favourites from last year in the forms of Carrie Hope Fletcher (Heathers, Les Mis), Celinde Schoenmaker (Phantom, Les Mis) and Bradley Jaden (Wicked, Les Mis). Scott Paige (Eugenius) and Dan Buckley (Eugenius) were the co-hosts for the night and they were so funny as they don't take themselves too seriously and play up to the audience it's just so much fun. Joining them were Laura Baldwin (Waitress, Eugenius), Rachel John (Hamilton), Jenny O'Leary (Heathers) and John Ellis (Phantom), as well as Rob Houc...

Things I’m Currently Loving

As we are now a quarter of the way through the year I thought I would share some of the things I have loved so far this year. Beauty At the end of last year i decided to make a more conscious effort with using cruelty free products, by no means am i perfect but I am a lot more selective and have changed a majority of my body and skincare items cruelty free. About a year roughly I saw on Superdrug’s Instagram Story they were introducing a brand called Noughty who did hair care products, they are cruelty free and vegan friendly. So I did a little bit more research and explored their website and found that their products are 97% natural which sold me even more on using their products. I have very greasy, fine hair I cannot leave it for more than 3 days and I can find that some brand such as Tresemme just sit on my hair and make it feel horrible. So I ordered their Detox Dynamo shampoo and their 1 Hit Wonder conditioner and since then I have reordered so many times, however I h...

My Driving Experience

On Thursday 7th March after 9 months of lessons I passed my driving test and I thought I’d share my driving journey, because I had a very positive journey with a couple of hiccups. I actually started learning before I went to uni in my year off between college and uni. I went with the guy who taught my mum and that was going ok, until I started volunteering in charity shop as a placement from the Job Centre and that’s where the relationship broke down. Also he wanted me to book and take a theory test which I wasn’t in the frame of mind to do. Then I got a shop job to tie me over and the lessons fizzled out and stopped. I then went to uni and didn’t feel any want or need to drive, I was quite happy with the situation I was in. It was June last year I seriously started thinking about learning to drive because it would make my life so much easier. Problem is it took so long to find an instructor, I started with ones in the local area but was unsuccessful with one even asking our ...
